Is this what you would spend money on to make the country better and stronger?

Think about the waste and abuse in all of the programs that fall under DHHS and the SSA.  If it is only 10% (and I personally think it is 3 or 4 times that) we could afford to DOUBLE what we spend on Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs.   What if I came to you and said, "give me ten dollars and I will help the poor and sick".   No problem right?

What if I said, "Give me $10, I will be very reckless with it and not look closely at who I help and in the end, only $3 of the $10 will actually help someone in need"   This is what is happening when we expect the Federal Government to help people in their daily lives.   The government is simply too big to help people effectively.  It always has been, and it always will be.
